“Bix Factor” Mauro Ottolini Sousaphonix
A Composer, trombonist, and bandleader, but above all a creative inventor of music projects ranging among the different jazz trends. Ottolini is a dynamic and serial creator of ideas, a musician without preconceptions, open-minded but also an expert of jazz history and more.
“Bix Factor” is dedicated to a jazz legend, trumpeter Leon “Bix” Beiderbecke, a genius who passed away too soon, at the age of 28, victim of his bad habits. He started recording in 1924 and died in 1931. He only had seven years to carve out a prominent place in the history and development of jazz music.
