Rita Marcotulli and Dado Moroni tell their vision of the ever-suggestive formula of the piano duo. A duo at the state of the art because it is played by a couple of aces of Italian and international jazz with extraordinary careers behind them. The lady of Italian jazz in recent years has been very present at Umbria Jazz, where she brought her most recent projects. Among them: Caraviaggianti, the partnership with Maria Pia De Vito on the songs of Joni Mitchell; the shows of Gino Paoli and Massimo Ranieri. Dado Moroni is one of the most appreciated and requested Italian pianists in America. His precocious talent, which made him enter the world of jazz as an enfant prodige, explains the quantity and quality of his collaborations: among others, Ron Carter, Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Ray Brown. Also, for Moroni we can talk about an intense frequentation of Umbria Jazz stages, with always different formulas.
