Stefano Bagnoli We Kids Trio
A jazz project with Salvador Dalí’s devilish mustache? A curious but intriguing idea. Suppose a soundtrack for the Catalan genius, an unconventional and surprising artist like few others, a creative over-the-top, and singular man. In that case, jazz is the first music that comes to mind since it’s always at ease in any context that eschews everyday life. Here is Stefano Bagnoli’s project with the new edition of We Kids Trio, which was also recorded for Tŭk Music.
We Kids Trio is an unconventional group and a classic formula simultaneously, but it is open to soundscapes touching the traditional jazz boundaries and usually overcoming them. Bagnoli’s fellow adventurers are two emerging talents of the Italian scene, pianist Giuseppe Vitale (also playing keyboards and Fender Rhodes) and double bass player Stefano Zambon. The lineup is minimal, but the music is not at all, also thanks to electronics and effects.
