Thom Yorke will perform pieces from his solo works The Eraser, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes and Atoms For Peace’s Amok with longtime producer/collaborator Nigel Godrich and visual artist Tarik Barri.
Thom Yorke, British songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and historic Radiohead frontman, is one of the most important and influential singers of the new millennium, included in the list of the 100 best singers of all time according to Rolling Stone.
The Eraser is the title of his first solo album, released in 2006 and produced by Nigel Godrich, the producer of Radiohead. The album debuted in the Top 10 in the UK and the USA, receiving a Britain’s Mercury Prize nomination and a Grammy nomination in the “Best Alternative Music Album” category.
In 2014 the second solo album Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes was released.
Between the first and second solo album, in 2009 Thom Yorke founded together with Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), the producer Nigel Godrich, the drummer Joey Wronker and the percussionist Mauro Refosco, the group Atoms For Peace, publishing in 2013 the debut album Amok.
Suspiria commissioned for the remake of the film of the same name by Luca Guadagnino, was presented at the Venice Film Festival and the single Suspirium was awarded best original song at the Soundtrack Stars Awards 2018. After the release of Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes in September 2014, Yorke, Godrich and Barri made their first tour, throughout 2015, covering the UK, Europe and Japan. After the reprint of Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes in December 2017 on XL Recordings, the trio debuted in the United States, performing in theatres in Los Angeles and Oakland and taking part in the Houston Day For Night Festival. The combination of the sounds of Thom and Nigel and the extraordinary images of Tarik Barri have generated praise all over the world.
