Monty Alexander Trio

Monty Alexander has been one of the most popular pianists in America for many years. Jamaican by birth, he moved to Miami and then to New York, where his way was cleared by an exceptional fan and mentor, Frank Sinatra. Sinatra introduced him to a friend of his who owned a famous jazz club, where Alexander worked as resident artist, playing with soloists and singers, and getting to know the jazz stars. He also met Miles Davis, with whom he shared a passion for boxing. The trio is particularly loved by his fans. He has recorded many hits with this formula, also drawing from the pop repertoire. His bright and spectacular jazz, sometimes captivating, combines melody and swing in a blend that is hard to resist.

El Comité Cuban Groove

EL COMITÉ CUBAN GROOVE Seven of the most prestigious contemporary Cuban musicians – all soloists, composers, arrangers, young artists but with an important career behind them – decided to form a band for a concert in Toulouse, in Southern France. It was October 2017. It was clear early on that this was going to be a one-time collaboration. Seven months later, when they met in a studio to record their first album, “Y Qué !? So What”, they were a stable group.
