Her photos have appeared on the covers of all the international magazines of electric bass. You just need to look at her, Nik West, to see that everything makes her a star, starting from her eccentric hairstyles and her glamorous and unconventional look. And live, her explosive stage presence is a show in itself. But West is not someone who bases everything on her look, but is a performer (vocalist and bassist) and a talented songwriter, with solid technical bases in funky and soul and with a precise idea of what and how to play.

Her journey through music began in her family. Her father, a good guitarist, taught her how to play rhythm guitar when Nik was 13 years old. This young girl formed her first bands with her brothers and sisters, always as a guitarist, and then discovered the electric bass. In that role it was not long before she was noticed.

Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) spoke of her as the “female version” of Lenny Kravitz and Prince said: “A great presence on stage. She is a source of inspiration as were Sheila E and Rosie”.
