Brassense combines the words brass and sense: the traditional brass quintet and a new perspective to this formula.
The band had the idea of adding a rhythm section and a vocalist. With this lineup, Brassense has defined its repertoire, drawing from jazz, funky, and 1980s pop and making original versions of classic songs thanks to the arrangements by Ivan Marini. Their repertoire includes songs by Carole King, Burt Bacharach, Canadian Brass, Tower of Power, Nina Simone, and Stevie Wonder.
All members are experienced musicians who have individually collaborated with significant figures such as Ennio Morricone, Nicola Piovani, Renzo Arbore, Mario Biondi, Lino Patruno, Sergio Cammariere, Peppe Servillo, and many others.
During their performances, they create a captivating and high-quality atmosphere.
