Fabrizio Bosso & Julian Oliver Mazzariello “Il cielo è pieno di stelle. Omaggio a Pino Daniele”

Fabrizio Bosso and Julian Oliver Mazzariello have spent most of their careers together towards shared goals. “Il cielo è pieno di stelle” is the latest chapter of their collaboration and a tribute to Pino Daniele.

The longstanding musical friendship between the trumpeter from Turin and the Anglo-Italian pianist began in the early 2000s in the High Five, the band of young emerging talents with a bright future ahead. From then on, Mazzariello has always been part of Bosso’s ideas, from the quartet (one of the best Italian jazz bands) to “Duke” and other orchestral projects.

In 2014, the duo released “Tandem” for Verve, which consolidated their artistic synergy. The same year, the duo performed in Orvieto at Umbria Jazz Winter. In 2016, they began collaborating with Fabio Concato. During the solidarity concerts organized by Umbria Jazz for the earthquake victims in Umbria, Fabrizio and Julian Oliver performed with Gino Paoli in Assisi. Bosso and Mazzariello recorded another live album for Warner Music at Umbria Jazz Winter.

The story of this lucky partnership continues.
