Conad Jazz Contest 2025: the 10 finalists
Conad and Fondazione Umbria Jazz announce the ten finalists of the Conad Jazz Contest 2025, who will perform live on the Umbria Jazz stage (Perugia, July 11–20, 2025) to compete for the winner’s title.
The technical jury, chaired by Manuele Morbidini—saxophonist, composer, and music director of the Umbria Jazz Orchestra—selected 9 of the 10 finalists after carefully reviewing over 180 tracks submitted for the twelfth edition of the contest.
The nine bands selected by the Technical Jury are:
- Homlet Octet
- Four Corners
- Daniele Del Gobbo Quintet
- Parnassum
- Saihs
- New Apulian Wave
- Vincenzo Bosco 6et
- Theater
- Candy Cane Snail
The tenth finalist, selected by the Popular Jury, is Vincenzo Capuano 4et.
Over 48,000 votes were cast by the Popular Jury, with more than 9,300 of them going to Vincenzo Capuano 4et. This band will receive a €500 voucher to be used in a recording studio by the end of 2025.
The finalists’ performances will take place on the “Conad Stage” in the centrally located Giardini Carducci on the afternoons of July 14, 15, and 16 — admission is free — and will be evaluated by the artistic jury chaired by Stefano Bragatto, Director of Radio Monte Carlo. After all live performances, the jury will announce the overall winner live on air from the mobile studio in Piazza della Repubblica, along Corso Vannucci, in Perugia on July 16.
The winner of the Conad Jazz Contest 2025 will receive a final prize of €5,000 as a career contribution and will perform in a dedicated tour organized by Umbria Jazz between summer 2025 and summer 2026, playing on the most prestigious jazz stages across Italy. Starting this year, the tour will also be an opportunity to promote the EP, produced and digitally distributed by Universal Music.
The Conad Jazz Contest is an initiative by Conad, a long-time partner of Umbria Jazz, committed to offering opportunities to talented young artists and promoting culture as a shared heritage. This is achieved both through the sponsorship of third-party projects and through independently organized initiatives, as part of Conad’s concrete sustainability strategy, “Supporting the Future”, which focuses on three pillars: environment and resources, people and communities, businesses and local areas.
