On April 30, International Jazz Day is celebrated worldwide.

In Italy, from the collaboration between Umbria Jazz and Radio Monte Carlo, the Festival’s official radio station, a unique evening is born: on Thursday 30 at 10.00 pm on the frequencies of Radio Monte Carlo will air a very special episode of the program “Monte Carlo Nights” entitled “Songs of Hope and Joy”.

The landlord Nick the Nightfly will virtually host in the studio a big concert that will bring together seven important artists of the jazz scene: Danilo Rea, Rita Marcotulli, Dado Moroni, Julian Olivier Mazzariello, Giovanni Guidi, Sade Mangiaracina will perform, each in their own home, in a new live dedicated to the International Jazz Day.

In the course of an approach, already during the previous week on the frequencies of Radio Monte Carlo will be presented songs from the archive of the festival and radiomontecarlo.net and the social profiles of the station and Umbria Jazz will tell the event.

With great regret Stefano Bollani will not be able to attend the evening of April 30 “Songs of Hope and Joy” due to a technical problem. The maestro’s piano does not allow, at this moment, to make beautiful and clean music.
