Mario Biondi “Romantic Tour”
Mario Biondi makes a return to Umbria Jazz with the “Romantic Tour”. The Sicilian soul man will be performing his most famous songs in Terni and those from his new album “Romantic”, released last spring.
“Romantic” is a project dedicated to romance in all its facets, from the loving one to the brotherly one and the one related to parents and children. Romance is the fil rouge of the tracks of the album (and the show), including six original songs and nine reinterpretations from the international repertoire.
Biondi is one of the fan favorites at Umbria Jazz, and he has always been warmly welcomed. He has performed at the Arena Santa Giuliana in Perugia on several occasions. The Festival’s regular public remembers the memorable nights with him since his debut in 2008 with the Duke Orchestra, just before Biondi’s revelation abroad. Biondi came back in 2010 with Incognito, in 2013 with Pino Daniele, in 2014 on a long “vocal night” with Al Jarreau and Take 6, and in 2018. Years before, he debuted at Umbria Jazz Winter #15 in 2007-2008.
Over these years, the crooner-soul man from Catania has achieved success, collaborated with important artists, and performed on renowned stages like Sanremo. Furthermore, Mario Biondi has become one of the most famous Italian artists abroad in a very short time.
