ORCHESTRA NAZIONALE JAZZ GIOVANI TALENTI – Paolo Damiani, conduction
The idea, one of many, came to Paolo Damiani, one of the most creative personalities of Italian jazz: double bass player, cello player, composer, conductor, teacher, event planner, and artistic director of famous festivals. Starting from his teaching experience at the conservatory, Damiani, who conducted the Orchestre National de Jazz (France), decided to form an Italian national orchestra for young people.
The ONJGT was formed in 2015, the 2021 formation is the third edition. Compared to the previous ones, the members are more original: they can move through the music genres in a transversal way.
