Jazz from Slovakia at the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the twinning between Perugia and Bratislava. Martin Valihora, one of the prominent names on the Slovakian jazz scene, will lead a quintet in Perugia from his drum throne. Artists from different countries play with him (Poland, Italy, Hungary, Cech Republic).
Valihora began as a pianist, studying that instrument for two years before switching to drums. He first took private lessons, then entered the Conservatory of Bratislava. She played in different local bands, moving from pop to rock to jazz. He is an artist with great versatility and a global vision of music. Thanks to a scholarship, he went to the USA to attend the Berklee College of Music courses in Boston and then moved to New York, where he gave his professional career a new life.
