“We don’t want to walk or drive. We want to fly.” The words of Ziek McCarter, frontman of Con Brio, the San Francisco band that has become, especially with its live events, a kind of musical institution in the Bay Area. Formed six years ago, the band is made up of musicians of different backgrounds but with the common denominator of their passion for funk and psychedelic soul. Sly & the Family Stone are their main musical reference point.

In just a few years Con Brio have forged ahead: in 2015 their first self-produced EP, then a tour in the United States and, immediately after, in the great European festivals, up to the release of their first full length album, Paradise, produced by Mario Caldado, the same as Beastie Boys, Beck. At that point many people started talking about Con Brio as the “best young American band”.
