Cancelled the 2021 summer edition of The Berklee at Umbria Jazz Clinics.
In all these years of activity with the BERKLEE COLLEGE at UMBRIA JAZZ CLINICS, the longest running partnership in the history of this musical College in Boston, our objective has always been to offer our participants a program of the highest level.
The success of this program, seen with the growing number of participants, numbering over 6500 over the years, is due to some important points.
DIDACTIC ACTIVITY
The courses are taught by experts, the best in their field.
UMBRIA JAZZ CONCERTS
The Umbria Jazz foundation offers free entrance to the concerts held at the Santa Giuliana Arena for all enrolled students.
JAM SESSIONS
All students may participate in the jam sessions held in the open space outside of the school. These sessions have proven to be helpful in the formation of the students abilities and therefore useful in finding professional opportunities.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Berklee College offers a variety scholarships including some “full tuition” for the summer course called “Five Week Summer Program in Boston”.
OPPORTUNITIES
Having students participate in the program from all over the world offers the possibility to share opinions, musical ideas and meet musicians who play at the festival. Last but not least, the students can admire the beautiful archetecture of Perugia and enjoy the food prepared in Umbria.
Unfortunately, because of Covid-19, the Berklee College has decided to suspend activities outside of the United States until the autumn of 2021.
We considered alternative solutions, but none of them could compare with The Berklee at Umbria Jazz Clinics.
It is with great sadness that we find ourselves obliged to cancel the 2021 summer edition.
It is instead with great joy that we announce the dates of the next program of the Berklee at Umbria Jazz Clinics which will be from the 5th -17th of July, 2022.
We will be celebrating the 35th Anniversary of our collaboration.
We will be in contact with you periodically with news about the program and we will do everything in our power to announce the dates of the auditions before the end of this year.
