CHIHIRO YAMANAKA UK TRIO

feat. SHANEY FORBES and DAN CASIMIR

Originally from Japan but now a resident of New York, pianist Chihiro Yamanaka is a reminder that jazz in Japan is both very popular and produces musicians of international standing. A student of Berklee College of Music, Chihiro is no stranger to audiences at Umbria jazz, where she appeared several years ago at the Santa Giuliana Arena. Her concert in Orvieto takes on special significance because this year is the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan.
