New Talents Jazz Orchestra

special guest ENRICO PIERANUNZI The New Talents Jazz Orchestra saw the light in Rome in October 2012 under the guidance of trombonist and arranger, Mario Corvini, who has followed in the footsteps of his father, Alberto (Al Korvin), an important figure of Italian jazz. The orchestra is formed by talented young musicians from various Italian regions and is the resident orchestra of the Fondazione Musica per Roma . In February 2013 the collaboration with the Casa del Jazz in Rome began (a series of very successful concert-lessons). Among the guest soloists of the orchestra were Maurizio Giammarco, Javier Girotto, Stefano Di Battista, Daniele Tittarelli. In 2015 the orchestra recorded Omaggio a Duke Ellington, distributed by Jazzit magazine. Other important collaborations in 2016: Marcello Rosa, Stefano Di Battista, the singer Frankie Lo Vecchio, Susanna Stivali. The orchestra also participated in the solidarity event "Italian jazz for Amatrice", in L'Aquila for the victims of the earthquake. Last year, the show Our Monk was launched, divided into a series of projects inspired by Thelonious Monk who was chosen as model and reference for its unconventional executive approach.  Inserted into this was Extempora, with special guests Daniele Tittarelli and Roberto Gatto, which also became an album released by Parco della Musica Records. After last year's participation  at Umbria Jazz, the orchestra returns this year with special guest Enrico Pieranunzi, author of the music that will be performed in the concert.
