Three great experienced and versatile exponents of Italian jazz music with long and intense artistic careers will perform in the “Modalità trio”.
They offer a large repertoire without prejudices or boundaries: they pour openness, joy, and irony over music, with swing and groove!
Massimo Moriconi, one of the most esteemed double bass players in the jazz world, is also quite active in different contexts, such as his long-standing artistic collaboration with Mina. He performed in duo and trio with Renato Sellani during the final part of the pianist’s career.
Nico Gori and Ellade Baldini will perform with him. If you think of clarinet, Nico Gori should first come to mind. The Florentine musician has performed at the highest levels in any situation – big bands, symphony orchestras, and jazz groups – both as a leader and a highly-requested sideman, ranging from classical music to jazz, from funky to acid jazz. Ellade Bandini and Moriconi performed with him on his first album as a leader, “Groovin’ High” (2003). Bandini is a long-standing experienced musician who has spanned the ages of jazz and songwriting. He long collaborated with Guccini, Vecchioni, Mina, Edoardo Bennato, and Fabrizio De André.
