Umbria Jazz 21: confirmations and news. Wynton Marsalis & JALCO, Veronica Swift, Stefano Bollani and Chick Corea.

Three confirmations and a novelty compared to the 2020 edition unfortunately cancelled: the concerts of Wynton Marsalis with JALCO, and Veronica Swift with Emmet Cohen’s trio, on July 9th, and Stefano Bollani, in a double set on July 10th with Chick Corea, are rescheduled to 2021. Veronica Swift is a young singer on the rise in the crowded and competitive jazz vocal scene. She made her debut at Umbria Jazz in 2010 in the club’s most welcoming and exclusive dimension, and now conquers the much more demanding stage of the Santa Giuliana Arena, opening with her trio for Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, one of America’s most prestigious cultural institutions, where she made her debut at the age of eleven in the Women in Jazz series.

Stefano Bollani returns to Umbria Jazz in a double bill with Chick Corea. Carlitos Del Puerto on bass and Marcus Gilmore on drums, who represented the rhythmic backbone of his acclaimed band The Vigil., will be on stage with Corea.
