Gabriele Mirabassi is an Italian clarinetist who moves with equal ease in both classical music and jazz. In the last years he has been carrying out an in-depth research on Brazilian and South American popular instrumental music in general. He also collaborates systematically with artists from different fields, participating in projects of theater, dance, songwriting. The collaborations then over the years have been numerous in jazz and classical music.

Accompanied by Nando Di Modugno on guitar and Pierluigi Balducci on acoustic bass, he is the author of Amori sospesi” (Suspended Loves): a magical project, where music becomes a crossroads of peoples and cultures, an ante litteram land of welcome, a real place of the soul: it goes straight to the heart and pushes to the edge, to the border of the world, beyond which there may be nothingness, but perhaps also a better future.

An evocative and suggestive musical journey from the Mediterranean to South America, with echoes of jazz, folklore and classical tradition, for a trio that blends a strong melodic component and a strong link with the Italian and Mediterranean identity.
