Greta Panettieri Quartet special guest Max Ionata

One of the most classic jazz ensembles, a singer and a piano-bass-drums trio, plus a saxophonist. The Greta Panettieri quartet with Max Ionata special guest smacks not only of tradition but reinterprets the genre with freshness and originality. Greta Panettieri grew artistically in New York where, in 2010, she released her debut album "The Edge Of Everything". Today, with seven records behind her, international tours and many excellent collaborations, she is considered one of the most interesting Italian vocalists. Among her greatest successes, Non gioco più, an album entirely dedicated to Mina and Italian songwriting. An eclectic artist, at ease among the most diverse genres and with incredible vocal talent, "she is able, as Terri Lynn Carrington said of her, to transform any melody into a personal statement". The meeting with Max Ionata took place in 2013 and since then, and with increasing frequency, Greta and Max share the stage, giving life to an artistic partnership in perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Ionata has long been one of the leading Italian saxophonists, and one of the best known abroad. He recently collaborated with Dado Moroni in a tribute to Duke Ellington and one to Stevie Wonder. Over the course of his career, which already in 2000 had a key moment with his victory in the “Premio Internazionale Massimo Urbani”, the saxophonist from Abruzzo has led several projects in his name, has collaborated on a regular basis with some of the best musicians on the international scene and has been a guest of important jazz clubs and jazz festivals.
